A one-line tweet from E! Network’s resident late night funny gal Chelsea Handler sparked a Twitter outrage from Mr. Mariah Carey himself, comedian Nick Cannon.

After the host of the recently concluded MTV VMAs tweeted “I just heard nick cannon is starting a comedy tour.  Who’s going to do the comedy?”, Cannon blasted the host a tirade of tweets ranging from demanding respect from a fellow comedian to personal jabs about the comedienne’s previous relationship with a network head to her current fling with rapper 50 Cent.

“Wow @chelseahandler I actually used to have respect for you as a comic. But for one artist to diss another in the same art form. #Tasteless”

“…Isn’t it comedy 101 that one comic never heckles another comic? Funny how all of @chelseahandler fans are coming at my like I did something to her. I don’t even know this broad! She on my sh–! Comics don’t heckles comics that’s like a Pimp snitching on a Pimp!”

“@chelseahandler But since it’s all in fun and supposedly just comedy, Let’s get to the mutha—-in’ JOKES!! Everyone knows @Chelseahandler had sex with the head of E! for her show. So when its canceled does he get residual pu— for the reruns. @chelseahandler Looks like she got hit in the face with a hot bag nickels!”

“Just talked to @50cent He said he made @chelseahandler get G-Unit tattooed on her balls!”

Cannon finished the blasts with “@chelseahandler is like the new @joanrivers just without the funny and more plastic surgery.”

To all these, Handler’s only response was “I announce my pregnancy on tonight’s show” which is obviously a reference to the rumors spreading about Mariah Carey’s pregnancy which both the singer and Cannon have not confirmed nor denied.

Cannon is no stranger to Twitter wars as he had previously fenced words with rapper Eminem who was previously intimately linked to his wife, a linkage that was rumored to have ended badly, so bad both Carey and Eminem allegedly slung words against each other through each of their own singles.

First 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler were seen getting cozy together at a New Orleans club.  Handler then denied rumors they had hooked up.  She tweeted that she and Mr. Cent had met to talk about a possible project.  From now on we’d like all our project meetings held in New Orleans jazz joints.

Judging from Handler’s reaction when a show guest Jo Koy thanked Chelsea for her “banging 50 Cent,”  we are skeptical about this being a meeting for business.  Chelsea insisted, I am not banging him, although she did admit to blushing.  She added, when there is something for me to say, I’ll announce it on my show.

When there’s something for her to say?

Doesn’t that pretty much sound like, we are dating but we’re not making this official yet.

After landing a hosting gig at the recently concluded MTV VMAs last month, E! Network’s queen of late night talk Chelsea Handler is on her way to dominate the said time block as she and her comedic cohorts star in the upcoming E! comedy reality series “After Lately”.

In a report released by Variety, the show will follow the format of a reality show as it unravels the various backstage adventures, and misadventures, that go on when the cameras and lights of “Chelsea Lately” turn off and as Handler puts it, it is the perfect “platform for people who have no business being on camera”.  With a more flexible format compared to a scripted sit-com, expect a no-holds-barred comedy that Handler and her gang of stand-up comedians is known for, but this time, with more people and things to make fun of and they themselves are not safe from the pranks and the snide comments.

The show will also feature the show’s  staff writers and also regular “round table” members such as Chris Franjola, Heather “Long Boobs” McDonald, Sarah Colonna, Guy Brannum and Brad Wollack.  “After Lately” has been green lighted by the network to run for an initial slate of eight episodes, but a series premiere date is still yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Handler is currently on the set of the new comedy film “This Means War” with Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon.

Chelsea Handler will be playing the best friend of Reese Witherspoon in “This Means War,” an upcoming comedy.  The late night host is going to also be starring opposite Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, who are two best friends and CIA agents vying for the affections of Witherspoon.

Kim Kolciak, star of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is returning with “Google Me,” the second club banger from her.  The reality star in this dance tracks brags that she’s the chick that all guys are wanting to be with, then demands that her fans click the keys to Google me.

It’s time to uncork that champagne.  Model Gisele Bunchden helped her husband Tom Brady in celebrating the Patriots victory versus Miami.  He became the youngest quarterback in history to reach 100 victories.  On Tuesday the happy couple ate at the restaurant Prime One Twelve in Miami just days after the 30 year old Bunchden participated in Paris Fashion Week.

Spider senses are tingling.  Emma Stone from “Easy A’s” has been cast into the role of Gwen Stacy, the love interest of Peter Parker, in the new Spider-Man remake.  Andrew Garfield of “The Social Network” will play Spider-Man.  The scheduled release date for  the 3-D Spider-Man film is July 3, 2012.

The “Glee” cast, with 75 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, has passed up the Beatles for having the most appearances on the chart from a non-solo group.  The “Glee” soundtrack got a big sales boost following the episode on September 28 featuring the music of Britney Spears.
