Even if Kayne West behaves himself at the VMAs this year, Chelsea Handler wil still be able to provide the blogosphere with plenty of quotes for the next morning.  Tonight Handler announced during her talk show on E! that she will be hosting the event on September 12.  So why was she chosen by MTV as the host?  Handler explains, this year has been a huge one for rap and hip hop.  Everyone knows I have very closes ties with those communities- both sexually and musically.  I am to hip hop and rap what Warren Buffet is for finance, less the sex.

Among the stars planning to attend the VMAs at Nokia Theater in LA next month for the 27th annual awards show are presenters Ne-Yo, Selena Gomez, Ashley Greene, Trey Songz, Penn Badgley, Emma Stone, Nicki Minaj and Ke$sha and performers Florence + The Machine, B.o.B, Drake, Justin Bieber and Kayne West.

Chelsea Handler has announced final shows for Honolulu, Pittsburgh, Newark, Toronto and Cleveland for her “Belvedere Vodka Presents Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang Tour,” which has been hugely successful.  In addition to the extra dates, Chelsea Handler will be performing as well in various cities across the country, including two shows in Chicago, Nashville, San Antonio, Baltimore, New Orleans, Charlotte, two shows in Tampa, Milwaukee, two shows in Columbus, St. Louis, Anaheim and Indianapolis.

Chelsea said, I finished what was supposedly the national tour for “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” but realized half of our country had been left out.  I thought stopping now would be neglecting the rest of the country’s pharmacies.

“Belvedere Vodka Presents Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang,” the national comedy tour of Handler’s, was launched March 10, 2010, coinciding with “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang,” her third book, being released.  It premiered in the No. 1 spot on the Bestsellers List of the New York Times.  Since then Handler has performed in front of sold out audiences all across the country.  She will be headlining over sixty performances in total.
